Youth Who See a Need,
Take the Lead

The MAGIC Grant Program is built on a simple but powerful belief: young people are the most creative problem-solvers in any community. When given the right tools and support, they can identify real needs and create real solutions.

Backed by a school, nonprofit, or community organization, youth go through a guided process — from spotting an issue, to applying for funding, to executing their vision and reporting on the results.

What makes MAGIC different

  • Youth-adult collaborative review board
  • Workshop education before application
  • Presentation opportunity for selected applicants
  • Funds restricted for project use only
  • Graduates can become future trainers or board members

8 Steps to Making Magic

01
Group of Youth
A group comes together, backed by a school or nonprofit, to identify a community need.

Youth collaborate to complete a community service plan and formal grant application.
04

08

Real Money for Real Impact

Grants are awarded to the sponsoring organization and held in restricted accounts, ensuring every dollar goes directly to the youth-designed community project.

The program is designed to give youth hands-on experience not only in community service, but in grant writing, budgeting, and public presentation — skills that last a lifetime.
